The 18-year-old is accused of involvement in two break-ins, one in Westwood and one in Needham. Note: Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

A Dorchester man suspected of a break-in last month in Westwood was arrested last week by .

Dominique Milton, 18, of Aspinwall St. in Dorchester, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at around 11 a.m. after Needham detectives, with assistance from the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force and Boston Police, executed an arrest and search warrant.

Milton is being charged in an investigation into a pair of house break-ins in both Westwood and Needham.

The Westwood incident took place on Monday, Dec. 5 at around 6 p.m., when responded to the report of a break in on Fieldstone Road.

A credit card stolen from the Westwood home was used at Macy's Department Store in Braintree, according to Westwood Police, and Milton and three others are seen on video surveillance using the card to make purchases.

"Fingerprint evidence at the scene in Westwood was processed and the same defendant in the Needham case identified," said Westwood Police Detective Paul Toland. "The investigation is on-going as the video obtained from Macy's continues to be reviewed."

Milton is being charged with breaking and entering in the daytime for felony, larceny over $250, vandalism of property and receiving stolen property.

In the Needham incident, which also allegedly took place on Dec. 5, a Brookline Street resident was at home around 11 a.m. when a black male entered the house through a rear door, fleeing when confronted by the homeowner, according to reports. Two suspects observed at the scene, both black males, were described in detail to officers.

Evidence from the scenes led police to believe that both break-ins were carried out by the same individuals, according to Needham Police Lt. Chris Baker.

Fingerprints from evidence collected at the scenes were analyzed by Boston Police Department criminalists and allegedly found to belong to Milton, according to reports.

A warrant was issued for Milton’s arrest for breaking and entering daytime with intent to commit a felony.

“Milton was arrested without incident and the search resulted in the seizure of significant property and evidence,” Baker said in a press release.

Milton will be arraigned on the Westwood charges on Jan. 30, Toland said.
