Theresa Marie Farren, 85 -- Feb. 20, 2013. Worked for many years as a beautician at Medfield State Hospital, retiring with over 30 years of service as a state employee.

Linda C. Nyren, 60 -- A sensitive and caring person with an innate natural goodness and wisdom. Had a business in Medfield with her husband Paul, raised Jack Russell Terriers, and was an avid equestrian.

Daniel P. Brassell, 68 - Feb. 19, 2013. Served as director of Medfield Public Library in 2008.

Mary Whitney Swanson, 94 -- Feb. 14, 2013. Lived in Medfield for 60 years. Active member of Hannah Adams Women's Club and Medfield Garden Club. Her motto was "Love, laughter and lunch!"

Gene Arthur Connor, 76 -- Feb. 10, 2013. Was an accomplished bird carver.

Richard Edward McCarthy, 73 -- Feb. 5, 2013. Past member of the Medfield Lions Club and Medfield American Legion, lived in Medfield for 46 years, served as Airman 2nd Class Air Policeman.

June Marie Barrows, 82 - Feb. 4, 2013. Served on the board of directors for the Humane Society in Medfield.

Donald Peter Jacobs, 65 -- Feb. 2013. Donations can be made to the ALS Association, Massachusetts Chapter.

Palma Cuomo, 83 -- Jan. 27, 2013. A resident of Thomas Upham House, she was formerly of Medway. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Lauren Anne (DePiero) Ward -- Jan. 27, 2013. Donations can be made to St. Anthony Shrine in Boston.

Robert G. Stokes, 84 -- Jan. 25, 2013. Retired treasurer/collector for the town of Medfield.


Edward L. "Tedo" Francis Jr, 76 -- Feb. 9, 2013. Grew up in Dover, attended Charles River School. Volunteered at Plimoth Plantation.

Isabel (Sadler) Plavidal, 86 -- Feb. 8, 2013. Devoted helpmate to husband Louis during his career with GE, volunteered as a visiting nurse, was an avid gardener.

Sister Anne Harvey SND, 91 -- Jan. 31, 2013. Served as Retreat and Spiritual Director for the Center for Religious Development in Dover.


Eleanor Edna Kremer, 81 -- Feb. 23, 2013. Enjoyed bird watching and caring for animals. Donations can be made to Little Sisters of the Poor in Pawtucket, RI.

Nancy (Peek) Hallenbeck, 97 -- Feb. 3, 2013, days shy of her 98th birthday. Donations can be made to The Human Relations Service in Wellesley.

Kenneth Paul MacPherson, 88 -- Jan. 27, 2013. He and wife Abby raised their family in Westwood. Described as a "true Renaissance man" who loved t.s. eliot and was a self-taught woodworker.

Alexander J. Fraser, 89 -- Jan. 26, 2013. Served in World War II, witnessed Battle of the Bulge, worked at Sears Roebuck and Co. for over 35 years, enjoyed fishing and sailing the islands of Boston Harbor, loved to hunt deer and once caught a bear.
