Westwood Town Hall Through History

One former resident said the building, dedicated in 1911, stood for "order, justice, sociability, harmony, friendliness, fellowship, and recreation."

You may not know it, but Westwood Town Hall was dedicated on September 27, 1911 - more than 100 years ago!

At the dedication, a crowd of 500 gathered to see its "spacious offices, banquet halls, vaults, dance floor, electric lighting system, modern sanity facilities, and steam heat," according to president Nancy Donahue.

Rev. Calvin Locke said that the building stood for "order, justice, sociability, harmony, friendliness, fellowship, and recreation."
