Hot, Humid Weather Headed Toward Westwood

Temperatures are expected to climb into the high-90s Wednesday and Thursday this week.

It was a warm winter, but the next few days could be the hottest so far of 2012 in Westwood and elsewhere in the Northeast.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Wednesday and Thursday this week, as temperatures are expected to soar into the 90s both days, bringing with them heavy humidity.

"There is a high probability of hot and humid conditions Wednesday and Thursday," the outlook stated Tuesday. "Maximum heat indices should reache around 100 degrees both days, especially across the lower Connecticut River Valley, interior Eastern Massachusetts, as well as the urban areas of Boston and Providence."
