Fall Foliage Hot Spots in and Around Westwood

Tis the season for catching some great views of the colors of autumn in town. But where do you get the best shots?

What better way to celebrate the autumn months in Westwood than to see some of the incredible foliage that comes about in the trees around town? 

Fall foliage is a quintessential characteristic of autumn in New England, and Westwood is loaded with great areas to catch the views. 

Whether you have a select spot in or around Westwood that you enjoy going to the most, or if you take the family on a road-side tour of the best area, here are some great spots around to catch the ever-changing color of the leaves.

This one might seem pretty obvious, but regardless, Hale is the prime spot for nature lovers, hikers, or anyone who enjoys a great view of nature. And this time of year, the colors are sublime at Hale. 

While technically part of Hale, this new trail lot on High Street, which recently officially opened to the public, is a treasure all its own. A simple hike through Sen Ki's trails will convince any passerby - from Westwood or anywhere - that a camera is a necessity; especially during the fall months.

A view from the shores of Westwood's renowned pond is perfect during the fall months. The trails around the pond are also ideal for walking and catching some incredible, colorful sights. 

 Providing hikers with miles of trails spread out through the area, Lowell woods is another incredible area to check out during fall; be sure to take a walk through the area and watch the leaves change color and flutter off the trees.

Clapboardtree Street: A road that runs through the heart of town, connecting High Street to Islington, Clapboardtree Street runs through some thick wooded areas, which inevitably turn to orange, red and gold during the fall. Be sure to take a slow drive on the street (while driving safe, of course) and see what it has to offer.
