Why Go: Get out your best fishing gear and head over for the annual derby, which features both a youth and adult division. Prizes will be awarded in the youth division, and participants must bring their own poles. A prize will be awarded for the largest fish caught in the adult division, and adults must obey all Massachusetts Fish & Game regulations. 
Price: $10 - Ages 16 & older; free - ages 15 & under

Why Go: It's a wonderful opportunity to by flowering plants for your Mother's Day gifts, as well as getting you annual planting needs and support the Boy Scouts. This year's choices will include hanging baskets of Fuchsia, Impatiens, Ivy Geraniums, Begonia and Petunias.

Why Go: Come early for the best selection of perennials and shrubs, some donated by a local nursery. Experts will be on hand and ready to assist you.

Why Go: Help raise funds to support the annual All Night Graduation Party, which takes place after graduation on June 3.

Why Go: Help your neighbors in need by leaving one or more bags of food by your mailbox. All types of non-perishable food – from peanut butter and jelly to coffee and fruit andvegetable juices – are welcome. But right now, local pantries have a particularly urgent need for canned fruit, tuna and other canned meat, baked beans, canned pastalike Spaghetti-O's and Chef Boyardee, and boxed meals such as Tuna and Hamburger Helper and Pasta Roni.
