On Friday, October 19, there will be a golf tournament played in memory of Chris Ruggiero at Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton.

The CR9 (Chris Ruggiero) Foundation of Westwood, along with the Friends of Westwood High School Hockey, have put together the First Annual CR9 Memorial Foundation Golf Outing. Ruggiero was a 40-year-old father of four who died unexpectedly this past February. This benefit is to help support his children.

Entry fee is $125 per person and includes green fees, cart and a catered dinner.  Registration is at 8:00 a.m. with a Shotgun start beginning at 9:00 a.m.  There will also be a cash bar and a live merchandise auction.  In addition to the golf scramble there is the opportunity for participants or local companies to show their support by sponsoring holes or the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin portions of the event.  $25 is the cost for participants not wishing to golf but still attend the dinner and raffle portion of the day’s events.  Payment can be made to The CR9 Memorial Foundation – PO Box 986 Westwood, MA 02090 and is due prior to October 1.
