Westwood Warriors Walk To Fight Pancreatic Cancer

Mascia and Brune will walk on Sep. 28 to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research in memory of their relatives.

Two Westwood residents will walk on Sep. 28 in the Unite to Fight Pancreatic Cancer 5K in Boston, according to Hometownweekly.net.

"Jen Mascia and Caryn Brune, friends since elementary school, grew up in Westwood and graduated from Westwood High in 2002. In October of 2007, Jen’s dad, Joe Mascia, owner of Service First Insurance in Dedham and longtime Westwood resident, was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer," the Hometown Weekly article said. 

Brune's mother also passed away after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2011. 

Mascia and Brune will walk on Sep. 28 to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research in memory of their relatives.
