Cresskill Alzheimer's Awareness
Week



The town of Cresskill unites for a
first time event hosting Alzheimer’s Awareness Week! Currently, more than 5.1
million Americans and 150, 000 New Jersey residents are living with the
disease. Family members deliver 80% of care provided at home.



Trainings, educational seminars and
events to help raise awareness will occur at various locations throughout the
town of Cresskill. This is an opportunity to:



·    learn about
Alzheimer’s disease,

·    develop 
effective skills



·    support
 individuals challenged with dementia and their family

All events are FREE and open to the public!



Week Highlights:



Memory Screening, Being a
Successful Ager, Dementia and Driving, Fall Prevention, Learning the Warning
Signs and How to Manage Alzheimer's Disease, tips for families on having the
conversation on dementia, open forum with neurologist to talk with a
neurologist, CHIP senior identification program.
