Winter Weather Set to Hit Wednesday

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued by the National Weather Service.

Snow. Could it be? 

The abnormally mild winter potentially could change this week. 

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch across the Commonwealth for Wednesday afternoon into Thursday, predicting 3-5 inches of snow with a trail of ice behind it.

"Snow is currently expected to overspread southern New England Wednesday afternoon and transition to a wintry mix Wednesday evening," the NWS watch read. "The heaviest precipitation should occur from late Wednesday into Thursday morning."

Tempeartures are expected to hover in the mid-30s on Wednesday, with wind gusts reaching up to 20 miles per hour. Visibility during the harsh weather is expected to be about a quarter to one-half mile.
