Westwood has Emergency Provisions in Place in Case Hurricane Sandy Hits

The Town of Westwood has released some information regarding what to do in case of an emergency due to Hurricane Sandy

 

The Westwood Board of Health has released information giving residents advice on what to do in case of emergency due to Hurricane Sandy.

Many of these recommendations are related to how to prepare for the impending storm.

Examples of preparation include having a plan in your family in case you get separated, having a first aid kit, be sure to have any prescription medications with you in that kit, a couple of ways to help keep your food from going bad as quickly in case of power loss and more. In addition, information about a shelter if the weather conditions warrant one has been released. The Westwood High School gymnasium is the shelter, and the notice provides a list of things that people should bring if they need the shelter, as well as things they should not bring.
