Westwood DPW Announces Upcoming Road Constructions

The following is a listing of upcoming road constructions and their expected dates. Westwood residents should plan their commutes accordingly as they should expect delays during these time periods.

The following information was provided by Chris Gallagher, Deputy Director of Public Works for the Town of Westwood:

Brook Street is scheduled to close near the Walpole Fish and Game from Monday September 17 through October 26. The culvert that connects Pettees Pond and Willetts Pond will be replaced. Traffic looking to access Pettees Pond Lane and up to the Walpole Fish and Game club will do so via North St.

Thatcher St
Site preparation is scheduled to begin Monday September 17, this will include erosion control and drainage work. Asphalt work is scheduled to take place the week of October 8. During this phase of the project the road will be open to local traffic only.

Fox Hill St
Site preparation is schedule to take place the week of September 24, this will include drainage and country drainage work. Asphalt work is scheduled to run from Thursday Oct 11 through Tuesday October 16. During this phase of construction the road will be open to local traffic only.

Everett St
Site preparation is scheduled to begin the week of October 9th, this will include country drainage. Asphalt work is scheduled to run from Wednesday October 17 through Monday October 22. During this phase of construction the road will be open to local traffic only.

Each Road – Thatcher, Fox Hill, and Everett will require one additional day of work to complete the top course of asphalt. This will be scheduled at the end of October.
