Why Go: Musician Bill Black is joined by a different musician every week. Come on in for a pint and a good nosh anytime after 5 p.m. and stay for some great 'craic'!

Where/When: Napper Tandys, 46 Day St., Norwood; Daily: 9 a.m.
Why Go: Come register for the Second Annual "Miles for Liam" 5k walk/run for DMD, which takes place on Sept. 25 at 9 a.m. Join 4-year-old Liam McGourty, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Norwood Fire Department for the event.
Price: Walk/run: $20, $30 with food ticket before 9/9/11; Walk/run $25, $35 with food ticket after 9/9/11.

Where/When: Mass Audubon Visual Arts Center, 963 Washington St, Canton; Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Why Go: Sponsored by the Mass Audubon Visual Arts Center, this new exhibit will feature the works of A.J. King, a noted bird carver and artist whose work is still highly sought after more than 50 years after his death. More than 100 carvings and a selection of King's etchings and other art works will be on display.
Price: $4 for adults/$3 for children and seniors/Free for members

Where/When: Blue Hills Brewery, 1020 Turnpike St., Canton; Friday, Sept. 2: 3:30 p.m.
Why Go: Stop by the local brewery for a complimentary tour and tasting, held every Friday and Saturday.

Where/When: Norwood Town Common, Washington St. & Nahatan St., Norwood; Sunday, Sept. 4: 7 p.m.
Why Go: The Westwood Summer Concert Series might be over, but the music plays on in Norwood, just down the road on Nahatan Street, for a performance by The South Shore Circus Band. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy some music!
Price: Free.
