Why Go: Bring all your unneeded electronics and appliances, as well as such large rigid plastic items as lawn furniture, crates, toys, and coolers, and even Styrofoam. 
Pricing: All items are free to recycle, except for TVs and monitors ($15-20, depending on size), and large appliances ($10).

Why Go: Join the battle in the fight against cancer. It's a chance to help support kids who will be cycling one, six, or 12 miles to raise money for the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. For more info, visit kids.pmc.org/westwood.
Pricing: Free to attend; donations welcome

Where/When: , 380 Pond St., Westwood; Sunday, May 15: 7-11 a.m. (Youth Division from 8-11 a.m.)
Why Go: Join in or watch the annual event, which features a Youth and Adult Division. Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish caught. Adults must obey all Massachusetts Fish & Game regulations.
Pricing: $10 - ages 16 & up; Free - ages 15 & younger.

Why Go: Turn your garbage into gold and learn ways to live a more sustainable lifestyle with this Saturday morning workshop. The benefits of composting are numerous; it greatly reduces your carbon footprint simply by removing it from the waste stream. 
Pricing: $20 per household.

Where/When: , 80 Haven St., Dedham; Friday, May 13: 6-9:30 p.m.
Why Go: Join an evening pairing a selection of craft beers with food creations by Chef Ed Cerrato. The event will feature Widmer Brothers and Red Hook Beers.
Pricing: $50.00 per person plus 19% Administrative Fee, State and Local Tax.
