VIDEO: Locals in Westwood React to Arrest of Whitey Bulger

Bulger was arrested in California Wednesday.

Employees and locals in Westwood on Thursday reacted to the news that infamous mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger had been found and arrested. 

Bulger, 81, a Top Ten Fugitive who has been on the run since the mid-1990s, was , as was his longtime companion, Catherine Greig.

Bulger was wanted for at least 19 murders that occurred in the 1970s and '80s in connection "with his leadership of an organized crime group that allegedly controlled extortion, drug deals, and other illegal activities in the Boston [area]," according to the FBI.

Bulger, 81, and Greig, 60, are scheduled to make an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday. The FBI and U.S. Attorney are planning to provide more information about the arrests in Boston on Thursday.

In Westwood, reactions amongst locals were similar Thursday, with many saying that Bulger's arrest was a long-time coming, and other saying they were suprised he was found in the United States.
