Three Things to do This Weekend: August 7 - 8

Rounding out the weekend with a list of events and activities in the Westwood area.

Catch a Theater Performance:
The Gazebo Players of Medfield will be performing their ninth annual "Shakespeare in the Park" series on Saturday evening in Walpole. The group will give a performance of "Love's Labour's Lost" at 5 p.m. on 5 Scout Rd. in East Walpole. The event is free and open to the public.

Brush up on Current Events:
Immigration has been at the forefront of the national news lately. John McManus, president of the John Birch Society, will be giving a lecture on the topic at the Endicott Estate in Dedham on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. The presentation, called will touch on illegal immigration, and how it affects local families. McManus's will also discuss how illegal immigration affects the national economy, jobs, crime, voter fraud and more. The presentation will also feature steps that can be taken to address illegal immigration. For more information, visit the John Birch society website.

Dance to the Music:
The Westwood Summer Concert Series might be over, but that doesn't mean the music – or the summer – has to end! Head over to the Walter J. Dempsey Memorial Bandstand on the Norwood Town Common at corner of Washington and Nahatan Streets on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. to catch the Tom Nutile Big Band. The performance is part of the "Summer Evening Concerts on the Common" series in Norwood, and is free to the public.
