This Week in Westwood: August 23 - 29

Board of Selectmen coverage, a fall sports preview and more are ahead this week on Westwood Patch.

The Westwood Board of Selectmen will hold a regularly-scheduled meeting Monday night at the Westwood Senior Center.

Among the many items on the agenda are a discussion of state aid and the FY11 Budget, a potential Westwood Station update, and a discussion of a proposed antenna at Morrison Field.

While summer isn't over, most of the season's sports in Westwood are. But that also means the start of falls sports in town, and we'll be taking a look at which teams are out practicing and which ones will be scrimmaging soon.

We'll also be looking to continue our Meet the Chefs series this week, as well as take a look at what another teacher in Westwood has been doing this summer to keep occupied.

So far, we've spoken with two-thirds of the Westwood Department of Public Works. We plan to finalize a series on the new faces of the department by speaking with Assistant Director Chris Gallagher.
