Summer Evolution: Rise of the New Westwood Public Library

The site has gone from a simple foundation to a full new structure during the summer.

It's no secret that Westwood becomes a little quieter during the summer months. School is out. Families head out on vacation. The weather is calmer, with the exception of the occasional storm, and the air seems more still.

But it's been far from quiet at the site of the during the last few months. TLT Construction and site crews have been busy, working hard to get the structure of the new building in place.

What began with and quicky turned into the , and most recently, crews were able to install a wall to the far side of the building.

The that took place on High Street in July was one of three such projects that will extend into traffic, according to Westwood Department of Public Works Director Vicki Quiram. 

While no dates have been set as to when the next road work will occur, it is expected to take place by month's end.
