Chiara may be the closest spot to check out for your Valentine’s Day event. The restaurant is offering a Valentine’s special of $79 a person for a three-course prix fixe meal on both Sunday and Monday (to check out the menu, click here). Chiara recently won Westwood Patch’s contest in which we asked readers to submit what they think is the best restaurant in town, and even came highly recommended by Sharon resident and Westwood Patch reader Jody Thomas, who said, “They do delicious upscale Mediterranean dining without driving into Boston . . . And unlike Boston (restaurants), Chiara won't break the bank!” 

The dining room at Victoria’s Cucina Italiana on High Street might serve as the perfect atmosphere for you and your loved one. The room is adorned with multiple fireplaces and wall murals, and the tables are tastefully set with linen napkins and gleaming silverware. What’s more, the restaurant offers a wide variety of wines and cocktails to accentuate the mood.

While Vello’s may not be having any specific Valentine’s Day specials, the eatery could be a perfect go-to spot for couples looking to enjoy a light and family atmosphere. The restaurant itself is not open on Mondays, so if you’re looking to get ahead of the game, head over on Sunday or check them out for a meal on Tuesday.

If you’re looking to get out of town, yet not drive to far, there are a number of eatiers in the Dedham area. Aquitaine is one of them, located in the heart of Legacy Place. Appetizer options include fondue and escargots, and entrees range from chicken to seafood to pasta. The restaurant also has a raw bar, and the dim lighting might provide for the perfect Valentine’s Day dinner.

Not too far down the road in Norwood, you could also check out The Chateau, which is offering a number of Valentine’s Day specials, including a wine and drink special, as well as a lobster bisque appetizer. Entrees being featured on Monday include veal chicken and ravioli dishes, as well as Angus Prime Rib. And, for those of you with a sweet tooth, carrot cake will be the featured desert.
