POLL: How Will a More Expensive Thanksgiving Dinner Affect You This Year?

A 16-pound turkey now costs 4 percent more than last year, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation.

Thanksgiving dinner may take a bit more out of residents' pockets this year. 

The American Farm Bureau Federation estimated this week that the average cost to make a meal for 10 people is now $49.20, a $5.73 over last year's average of $43.47, according to a Boston.com report Thursday.

The biggest price hike is for a 16-pound turkey, according to the report, which costs 4 percent more this year at $21.57. Meanwhile, costs are also up for everythign from cranberries to pumpkin pie.
