The following information is provided by the Westwood Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned it does not mean there has been a conviction.
Thursday, Dec. 6
1:49 a.m.: After a motor vehicle stop, officers arrested Scott Smolak, 36, from 285 Colburn Street in Dedham and charged him with operating under the influence and marked lanes violation.
5:34 a.m.: A resident entered the station to report being harassed by a former affiliate. An officer made contact and advised the party to cease and desist.

8:26 a.m.: Officers responded to a 4-vehicle accident at the East Street rotary. The accident resulted from one vehicle that failed to stop and rear ended another stopped at the rotary, causing a chain reaction.
