Patch iPhone App Available for Download Thursday

The mobile Patch app is finally here, which means you can now take us everywhere. The iPhone app goes live today in Apple’s App Store, and features a variety of ways for you to stay connected and keep up-to-date about what’s going on in your community.

For starters, the Patch app will consist of all the things you see on the Web site, including community news, weather, local business listings and events in the city. You can read the latest articles on the city council’s recent vote, the best place to grab lunch and stay informed of police news.

Share your thoughts by commenting on stories, uploading photos and business listings. You can even share your favorite stories and/or business listings with your friends on Facebook or by e-mail.

Not to mention, you can save events to your iPhone calendar in just seconds! What other hyperlocal app allows you to do that?
