Memorial Day Preparations, a Camp Building Burns Down, and Senior Day Sports

A roundup of news highlights from the past week.

Thankfully, the clouds parted ways with the skies over Westwood this past week, allowing for a long-overdue sun to shed its light on the area.

While temperatures continued to rise, so did a fire on the Westwood-Dover line, where . Luckily, there were no injuries reported, though the building was completely destroyed by the fire, the cause of which is still under investigation. 

With Memorial Day tomorrow, several officials and residents began preparing for the annual parade by of Westwood's fallen veterans.

Westwood High School's sports teams had an exciting week. The varsity softball team advanced to the Tri-Valley League playoffs with an on Wednesday, which also happened to be Senior Day. Meanwhile, a  against Hopkinton on Tuesday.
