Letter to the Editor: MSPCC Congratulates Glad Rags Thrift Shop
MSPCC President and CEO Marylou Sudders sends congratulations to the thrift shop for receiving this year's Roy London Award.
Editor's Note: The following letter was submitted to Westwood Patch in response to Glad Rags Thrift Shop receiving the Second Annual Roy London Award last week.
All of us at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) congratulate this year’s recipient, The Westwood thrift shop, . We are grateful to the nominating committee for selecting this wonderful and dedicated group of volunteers.
Since 1977, Glad Rags thrift shop has donated 100 percent of its profits to MSPCC to support our mission of preventing child abuse and neglect. This amazing group of volunteers has raised essential funds to help children be safe and to have every opportunity to thrive.

In addition to managing the thrift shop and raising funds, these volunteers have provided clothing, toys books, and home goods to our social workers for our families in need. With their commitment of time and with the spirit of compassion, they have helped thousands of children and families.
We salute and thank our dear friends at Glad Rags for their amazing effort on behalf of the children and families that we serve each and every day. We urge all of the good citizens of Westwood to drop by Glad Rags at 30 Hartford Street in Westwood and to thank them for their generosity of spirit.
