IMAGE GALLERY: Police Provide Meals to Westwood Seniors

Officers served sliced Turkey, mashed potatoes and other Thanksgiving accompaniments to more than 45 senior citizens last month.

On Saturday, November 17th, the Westwood Police Relief Association provided a holiday meal for seniors at the Council on Aging on Nahatan Street in Westwood.

They served sliced turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, rolls, carrots, drinks, dessert and coffee to about forty-five seniors. Present from the Council on Aging was Director, Pat Larkin, along with other COA staff and teenage volunteers. On hand from the Westwood Police Relief Association was President: Officer Tim Foley, Secretary/Treasurer: Sergeant Joseph Vinci and his family, Officer Donald Murphy and Officer Daniel Fafara.

The Westwood Police Relief Association would like to thank all of the Westwood businesses and residents who donated to help make the dinner possible.

In 2013, the Westwood Police Relief Association would like to expand the dinner by moving to a larger hall to accommodate more citizens for the holidays.
