Housing Information, Library Project Updates, and Holiday Tree Lighting

The Westwood Planning Board, along with the town's Housing Partnership, Council on Aging and the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, will host an information session tonight from 7:30 to 9 p.m. regarding housing needs in the town. For more information, click here.

The Planning Board will also hold a regularly-scheduled meeting Tuesday night at the Carby Street Municipal Building. For more information, including a full agenda, click here.

The Westwood Library Project will resume this week, with the physical move of the Colburn School expected to take place on December 1 and 2. 

We'll continue to bring you our daily you need to know about what's going on in Westwood, as well as constant coverage of police and breaking news. And now that the fall sports season as come to an end, we'll also be looking ahead to what's coming this winter. 

With Thanksgiving come and gone, the next big holiday season is here, and as such we'll be taking a look at various holiday-themed items this month, such as where to buy Christmas trees in town, who has the best holiday lights display, holiday-themed events, and more.

We'll begin this week with a look at The Christmas Store on Providence Highway, including what the store has to offer and what deals will be held there until the end of December.

Likewise, on Sunday, the Town of Westwood will host a Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony in front of Westwood Town Hall. Stay tuned on Monday for complete coverage, including photos and video of the event.
