Five Things You Need to Know: June 5

Playoffs, trash collection and Morrison Field's redevelopment are among things to note this week.

Today's Weather: There will be a chance of showers today, with cloudy skies and a high near 59, according to the National Weather Service.

1. The Wolverines will be out in full force today. The  girls lacrosse team will take on Notre Dame Academy on the road at 4 p.m. as part of the MIAA Girls Lacrosse South Division 1 Semi-Finals, while the girls and boys track teams will compete in the All State Meet at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School at 1:30 p.m. The baseball team, meanwhile, will take on Wareham on the road at 4 p.m.

2. The Westwood Environmental Action Committee and Department of Public Works will host an informational session on how the town's trash and recycling collection will change moving forward. The session will take place on Thursday from 7:30-9 p.m. at Westwood High School.
