  1. Today's forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 77 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
  2. The Westwood Planning Board will meet with the Comprehensive Master Plan Steering Committee's Housing Subcommittee from 7:30 to 9 p.m. tonight in the Champagne Room at the Carby Street Municipal Building. For more information, click here.
  3. Due to Memorial Day on Monday, Westwood's recycling and trash collection will follow a holiday schedule; collection will be delayed one day, and Friday collection will be on Saturday.
  4. Tomorrow will be an early release day for students in the Westwood Public School System. All elementary schools will dismiss at 11:50 a.m., except for Deerfield Elementary, which will release at 11:25. Thurston Middle School will let out at 1:10 p.m., and Westwood High School will close at 12:40.
  5. The average price for gas in the Westwood area on Monday was $3.85 per gallon, according to AAA's Fuel Price Finder.
