Today's Forecast: The National Weather Service is expecting cloudy skies over Westwood today, then skies will gradually become mostly sunny, with a high near 57.
1. Ash Wednesday Services: It's Ash Wednesday in Westwood and here is what services are being held today:
- First Parish of Westwood:
- First Baptist of Westwood:
- St. John's Episcopal Church: Noon Eucharist, 7:30 p.m. Ash Wednesday service.
- St. Denis:
- St. Margaret Mary: 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Ashes will be distributed at Highland Glen Building #5 at 11 a.m. by Dorothy Ruggiero, Pastoral Associate, and at Building #1 at 1:30 p.m. by Deacon Joseph Messina
- Ashes will be distributed to individual rooms at Fox Hill Village's Clark House at 2 p.m.; Ashes will be available to Fox Hill residents in the lobby of Clark House at 2:30 p.m.
2. Today's Winter Sports Games: Westwood High School's boys ice hockey teams will take on Concord-Carlisle today.

3. 16th Annual Spelling Bee: The Westwood Educational Foundation's 16th Annual Children’s Spelling Bee will take place in the Sheehan School auditorium on Wednesday, March 7, for Grade 4 from 2–3:30 p.m., and for Grade 5, from 4–5:30 pm. The Grade 3 spelling bee will take place on Thursday, March 8 from 5-6 p.m.
