1. 2012 Riley Hoop Classic: The Westwood High School boys basketball team will hold a consolation game at 5 p.m. tonight as part of the 2012 Riley Hoop Classic Tournament.

2. 16th Annual Spelling Bee:The Westwood Educational Foundation's 16th Annual Children’s Spelling Bee will take place in the Sheehan School auditorium on Wednesday, March 7, for Grade 4 from 2–3:30 p.m., and for Grade 5, from 4–5:30 pm. The Grade 3 spelling bee will take place on Thursday, March 8 from 5-6 p.m.

3. 2012 February Vacation Programs: February Vacation began Monday, and Hale Reservation is offering a February Vacation program for Grades 1-6 this year from Feb. 21-23. The price is $75 per day, $200 for all three days. Likewise, the Westwood Recreation Department has released information for the upcoming February vacation, and you can download the brochure.

4. Vacancy on the Westwood Planning Board: Planning Board Member Carol Chafetz announced this week that she will be resigning from the board as of April 23, leaving a vacancy to be filled during this year's town election.
