5 Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 15

A day filled with ice hockey and skiing lies ahead for Westwood and Xaverian sports teams.

1. 2012 February Vacation Programs:  for Grades 1-6 this year from Feb. 21-23. The price is $75 per day, $200 for all three days. Likewise, the Westwood Recreation Department has released information for the upcoming February vacation, and you can download the brochure

2. Today's Winter Sports GamesWestwood High School's Co-Ed Alpine Ski Team will compete today at Blue Hills, while the girls varsity ice hockey team takes on Canton at 8:30 p.m. ' Alpine Ski Team will also take to the slopes today, and the Hawks' varsity ice hockey squad will take on St. John's Shrewsbury.

3. Laugh, Laugh, Laugh: The will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Center at Westwoods on Gay Street. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

4. Upcoming FinCom Hearings: The Westwood Finance Commission is holding a series of hearings related to the articles on the 2012 Town Meeting Warrant. The first hearings will run on Feb. 27 and 28, and the second set of hearings will run on March 26 and 27 at Westwood High School.
