3. Holiday Week Trash Pickup: Due to the fact that Christmas fell on a Sunday this year, recycling and trash collection in Westwood will follow a regular schedule this week. There will be no delay because of the holiday. Christmas tree collection will begin the week of Jan. 9 and will take place on regularly-scheduled trash collection days. Trees must be placed at the curbside before 7 a.m., and must be free of plastic bags, stands and other materials. Residents should also make sure that trees are not covered by snow or frozen to the ground.
