Recycling day is here along with number of other interesting events in Town.

If you've got nothing to do in Westwood this weekend, we can help fill the gap.

With rains clearing up for the weekend, Westwood will host a number of activities in Town. Here's a list of things to check out:

Where/When: 50 Carby Street, Westwood. 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Why Go: Head down to Westwood DPW Yards to support the on-going recycling effort in town.
Price: Free! Bring your bottles and cans and other recyclables!

Where/When: , 220 Nahatan St. 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Why Go: Sponsored by the Westwood Childhood Council, Lisa Hull is an expert portraitist and will be offering her talents for the WCC this weekend. For more on her artistry, check out www.lisahullphotography.com.
Price: $50 donation.

Where/When: , 830 High St. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Why Go: A tour through Westwood's prime gardens and a plant sale kicking off at the Fisher School. Green thumbs and amatuers alike welcome!
Price: $25

Why Go: This is a great one for the kids. Touch a Truck is a chance to get up-close and personal with some of Westwood's finer heavy machinery including: fire trucks, police cars and construction vehicles.

Where/When: , 7 Clapboardtree St. 7 p.m.

Why Go: A concert featuring Peri Smilow, appropriate for the whole family. Money from the show goes to benefit the American Heart Association.

Price: Free. Accepting Donations.
