5 Things: Countdown to Westwood Day Begins

Here are some things that you'll be interested in if you live in Westwood.

1. The Town of Westwood sent out their Community Newsletter the other day and it has some fantastic information. Be sure to continue to visit Westwood Patch everyday, as we will look to expand upon some of the wonderful information the town has provided everyone.

2. Westwood Day is coming up on Saturday, September 22. From what we are hearing, it will be one of THE events to remember in 2012. Whether you have children (there will be games) or it's just adults in your family (arts, crafts, various vendors), there will be something for everyone. Don't forget the fireworks that night, and of course your Westwood Wolverines football team will cap it all off when they take on King Philip Regional High School that night.

3. A reminder that you can still register to vote for this November's General Election. Don't forget, this is the vote that determines who will be President of the United States for the next four years. There are also several other positions on the ballot, including United States Senator. If you're not registered to vote, or if you're unsure if you are or not, check in with Town Clerk Dottie Powers.

4. Today is . If your son is interested in Scouting, you should go to the First Parrish of Westwood (340 Clapboardtree St.) from 7-8 p.m. tonight.
