Westwood Gardens Delivers Botanical Freshness

has served the town of Westwood for more than four decades.

“I have owned the shop for eight years, but it’s been here for over 40 years," said owner Ivis Quinchia, who bought the flower shop in 2003.

“We do everyday occasions, sympathy, and weddings,” Quinchia said, listing a few of the many functions they cater for. Others include St. Patrick’s Day, anniversaries, birthdays, new babies, weddings, and just about any other occasion one can think of. 

The shop comprises an expansive inventory of fresh flowers, tropicals, plants, silk arrangements, gift baskets, stuffed animals, balloons, and more.

“We do mixed bouquets, and roses are always popular,” said Quinchia. “Our basic prices are usually about $50 to $70, but we have plants and other things starting at $7.99.”

Surprisingly, the struggling economy hasn’t had a negative effect on Westwood Gardens.

“We’ve actually gotten busier," Quinchia said. "People are finally realizing I’m here, and our quality is excellent. Everything is fresh.”

Westwood Gardens also offers a delivery service starting with an added fee of $10.00 to each order. This may vary if deliveries are out of the local area. The store is unable to make deliveries on Sundays, so anything requested for that day will be delivered Monday.

The shop is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Thursday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and is closed on Sundays.
