The Lions Club plans to extend the deadline a bit in order to give contestants more time to submit their photos if need be, Devoy said.

After all the photos are submitted for the contest, DeVoy and other members of the Westwood Lions will sort through them to decide on the 12 best to cover the entire 2011 calendar year.  A grand photo winner will also be selected t0 appear on the cover of the calendar, which will be about six by eight inches in size.

"All of the proceeds will go back into the community," DeVoy said.
