Westwood Artists Make Waves on Thursday

The exhibit features Westwood artists Lisa Walker and Melanie Guerra, and opens with a public reception on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

An exhibit featuring Westwood artists Lisa Walker and Melanie Guerra will open at the Dedham Community Theatre on Thursday, Sept. 26 with a public reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This is part of the Dedham Square Artist Guild's latest show in their "Artist Challenge" series, "Making Waves", and features over 20 artists from Eastern Massachusetts working in an array of mediums.

Walker, a potter, and Guerra, a photographer, were challenged to create work reflecting on the following theme:

"Waves… on the water, to a friend, in the status quo. How do you like to make waves? Whether it is causing a stir or literally making a splash in water, this Artist Challenge asks artists to shake things up a bit, we want to see how you can make waves!"

The exhibit runs from Sept. 26 to Oct. 17 at the Dedham Community Theatre, 580 High Street, Dedham.
