Journey Back to 1903: A Look at the Norfolk School

What was once a school serving Westwood and Dedham is now the site of the Dental Arts of Westwood.

In 1903, the Norfolk School Corporation, comprising a group of men from Westwood and Dedham, purchased 12 acres near the Westwood-Dedham town lines for the construction of a private school.

The school consisted of four classrooms for kindergarten and primary grade students, and operated for more than 10 years before being converted to a private home by Westwood Tax Collector Louis Brooks, who maintained his office there.

The building, located at 100 High St., was recently renovated and is used as commercial office space. The site is now the home of the .
