Calling all Westwood 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! The Westwood Educational Foundation is pleased to announce its 16th Annual Children’s Spelling Bee and is looking for enthusiastic participants for this year’s event. The spelling bee will take place in the Sheehan School Auditorium on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 for 4th Grade from 2:00–3:30 pm and for 5th Grade from 4:00–5:30 pm and on Thursday, March 8, 2012 for 3rd Grade from 4:00–6:00 pm. The snow date will be Monday, March 12th.
Start putting your teams together!! Get some friends and come have some fun!! Last year, 52 teams consisting of 194 eager and well-prepared children participated in this fun-filled, popular event. WEF is looking forward to surpassing last year’s involvement. Interested spellers should register on Saturday, January 7th at the Senior Center from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 pm. This will be the only registration for the 2012 spelling bee. Registration costs $12 per team member and teams must consist of 3 or 4 members.
