'Spike' Up Your Life: Help Give Spike a New Home

Spike is available for adoption now through the Animal Rescue League of Boston's Dedham shelter.

Spike is a 5-year-old boy full of playful energy. His is a small mixed breed dog with a soft coat and weighs 18 pounds.

He enjoys meeting new people and seems to get along well with children. He absolutely loves toys and is highly entertaining to watch and play with.

Spike will require training for basic commands and may need some work on house training.

He is a smart little guy and with some motivation he will pick up commands in no time. Spike should not live with other dogs or cats and would not be a candidate for a dog park. He does have some dog aggression which we are still exploring.

He would be happy in a home as the only pet and with a family to give him the love, attention and exercise he needs. He would probably make a good agility dog which would be a good family activity to do with him. If you have a fenced in yard, he would love to play fetch with a ball or even a Frisbee.
