Last Monday, at around 7:30 p.m. a number of people right here in Westwood heard a loud explosion. The BOOM shook the shelves in people's homes and caused them to come outside for a look.
But nothing was ever identified as the source of this loud noise. While it was heard by some near Bubbling Brook on one side of town, others heard it as far as Nahatan Street and out by Islington.
