Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony This Sunday

Westwood's annual tree lighting ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. this year in front of Town Hall on Sunday, December 2.

The Town’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 2. This year, there is a slight change in the program. The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm (rather than 4:30) to introduce a new program. The Town employees will participate in a Gingerbread Making contest to raise money for the Food Pantry. The gingerbread houses will be on display for the entire event allowing for residents to view and a winner will be selected. Along with the regular schedule, the following will take place: 

  • Hot chocolate and cookies (generously donated by Roche Bros.) will be available for all attende.
  • The High School Chorus perform holiday song.
  • 2 stilt walkers and a Snowman (new this year) will be entertaining and handing out candy cane.
  • Holiday Belle from Beauty and the Beast will be walking around and taking pictures with kids.
  • A special class will again be the guests of honor and will be turning on the lights again this year. Clark House at Fox Hill donated gifts to the special class.
  • And finally, a special guest will make an appearance to end the night.
