Westwood Teacher is the Lululemon Ambassador

Westwood teacher Karen MacDonald embodies the Lululemon lifestyle as an Ambassador for the company

Wherever I go, it is hard not to notice the amount of women dressed head to toe in Lululemon attire. Whether its a handbag or a headband, the combination of comfort and style is appealing to everyone from gradeschoolers to grandmothers. Highschoolers love it for its chic and polished look, while many others wear it to be comfortable without compromising their style on a regular basis. In a world where everyone is constantly in a hurry, it allows women to incorporate exercise into their daily lives without having to change their clothing. The company has stood by their manifesto , that living an active lifestyle will bring happiness.

Karen MacDonald, a teacher for the Martha Jones Elementary School in Westwood, lives out this motto better than anyone, as she is a Lululemon Ambassador. She embodies the active lifestyle by running hundred-mile races and participating in Iron Man competitions. She became well known in the Hingham store, as she bought a new outfit before every race. After swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles, and finishing her marathon, Karen stood out from the crowd; her outfit had not succumbed to the physical demands of the Iron Man, and by looking fresh, it made her feel stronger and ultimately perform better. She not only wears the clothing during grueling physical events, but also wears it teaching her third-graders (some of you might find that a grueling physical event). In the same clothes, she is able to teach math one minute and play with her students at recess the next.

The company has pushed the limits in fashionable athletic attire year after year, and now with its new iLUminate fabric, has improved the safety for its customers. When wearing this fabric during the day, one would not know the extent of its abilities; however, when the sun goes down, all the products in the Get Up and Glow line allow you to literally glow in the dark. It eliminates the need for wearing bulky reflector vests or having to carry lights while protecting you from being hit by a car.

Although most people are not competing in an Iron Man, the clothes still have the same affect- when you look good, you feel even better.
