More About Westwood High School

Westwood High School

Westwood High School

220 Nahatan St, Westwood, MA
781-326-7500

In a town such as Westwood, it's no surprise that a premium is placed on education. To judge from standardized testing, the investment the town makes in infrastructure (the high school is brand new) and staffing pays off handsomely as students in the town consistently score above the 95th percentile in MCAS testing (in both math and English). The school boasts equally impressive sports facilities, including a newly refurbished indoor pool and gymnasium and a new multipurpose outdoor field and synthetic track.

Within the past few days, Aaron was selected to join the broadcasting team for the Seattle Mariners and is headed west to assume his new post. Good luck Aaron.

The PawSox have arranged to bring instead another special treat for WLL -- the 2012 Governors Cup Trophy that the Paw Sox won last year as International League Champions. Bring your cameras and be prepared to get photos of the kids with this impressive piece of hardware!!

Click the below link to see a picture of the Governors Cup Trophy that will be on display at Westwood Little League's Annual Hot Stove Event on Sunday Jan 27 from 5 to 7 pm at the High School cafeteria. The PawSox brought home the hardware last year -- come check it out. The trophy has been awarded since the 30s and the original is housed in Cooperstown.
