Coming hot off the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, there's plenty of news to come this week in Westwood.  Tonight, the Westwood Board of Selectmen will meet to discuss a variety of topics, from tax classifications to road improvements. It's a week of giving thanks, celebrations and recipes in Westwood. Here's a look at what's coming this holiday week. Check back Tuesday morning for a special photo gallery from Monday's annual farmers market, which is hosted each year by second graders at the Deerfield School. The market included harvest-style goods, such as apples, pumpkin seeds and muffins.  Sixth graders at Thurston Middle School this week will resume their annual Neolithic Trade Fair, an event that takes place before Thanksgiving each year and coincides with the students' studies of the beginnings of civilization. The Westwood Planning Board, Westwood Conservation Commission and Dedham Planning Board will all meet in a joint meeting Monday night at the Dedham Hilton to discuss a proposed building project at 40 Allied Dr., the location of which crosses over the borders of the two towns. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night will mark the fifth annual Capturing Nature in Westwood Art Exhibit to be held at Westwood High School. Exhibited items at last year's exhibit included ceramic pottery with garden patterns; colorful “pet rocks”; nature-inspired collages based on Matisse stained glass window …
This week, Westwood Patch will have a handful of highlights coming on Hale Reservation's Sen Ki trail lot. Stay tuned for a guided tour of the new trail and for more information on the area's grand opening this weekend.  On Saturday, the Westwood Fire Department will hold its annual open house of its High Street station. On Tuesday this week, Westwood Public Schools will host the Board Meeting for the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. at the Westwood High School Little Theater.
