Cammy is an approximately 2-year-old female Pug mix. She is a very cute and sweet little girl who will be a wonderful addition to the right home. Cammy can be shy at first with new people, but once she gets to know you she is very friendly. She does not know any basic commands, so her new owners should consider taking her to training classes so she can learn good manners! She loves toys and is very playful. Cammy plays well with other dogs but we do not know how she would be with cats. Cammy has what we call "food aggression" and is very possessive of food, rawhides, and treats. If Cammy …
Ethel is an 8-year-old female cat. She was brought to the Animal Rescue League's Dedham shelter because her owner became sick and could no longer take care of her properly. She is a beautiful girl with a medium length thick fur! She is overweight and will need to be on a diet in her new home. Ethel is fearful at first in a new environment, but with time and patience, she comes out of her shell and lets you see her true, sweet personality. She lived in a quiet house and would do best in a new home with older children; she should be the only pet in her new home. She is a very sweet girl…
Doug and Porkchop are two winter white dwarf hamsters looking for their forever home. They are only 3 months old and very sweet. Both hamsters were born in a foster home and handled since birth allowing them to grow up into friendly well socialized hamsters. They could live together, but need to be closely monitored to make sure they are not fighting. If they do they will need to be immediately separated in to their own cages. They are very sweet little guys and love to run in their wheel, burrow through bedding, and be held. If you are interested in adopting either Doug, Porkchop or both, …
Submitted by Judy Ambrose, Neponset Valley Humane Society Penny and Bella are an adorable, friendly, happy, active young pair. Penny is the bobtail tabby. Bella is black. Penny is very sweet, loving and gentle with people but often instigates play with her best pal Bella. She enjoys curling up on the sofa with her foster family and being part of the family. Bella is a happy, energetic little girl. She came into rescue missing most of one ear, as you can see in her photo. We have no idea how that happened; she came to us that way, and it does not slow her down. Bella likes to be picked up, …

Stella and Luna are a pair of adorable female chinchillas. They were brought to the shelter after their owner passed away and nobody in the family could take care of them. They are sweet girls but were not well socialized in their previous home and as a result they do not like to be handled. However, a patient owner would be able to work with Stella and Luna to get them to feel safe and …
Louie is an approximately 2-year-old Parson Russell Terrier. He was transferred to the shelter from another Animal Control Facility. Louie is a very energetic and talkative guy! He is very vocal when he wants your attention, and knows all basic commands (sit, down, stay, come, shake) and is eager to learn more! Louie enjoys being around people but will not be comfortable with handling at first. His new owners will need to understand that he will need time to gain confidence and trust before he can be picked up or handled extensively. He seems to be more interested in people than he is …
Submitted by Judy Ambrose, Neponset Valley Humane Society Benjamin was begging at a home to be allowed indoors. The homeowners didn't know where he came from but no one in the neighborhood claimed this very lovable tuxedo cat. Benjamin is a friendly, happy and confident cat. He enjoys catnip toys, cuddling and being held like a baby. He is quite content sitting safely indoors in his cat tree watching the world go by outside. He would probably do OK with a welcoming kitty companion but he mainly loves people and would be quite happy as the only pet in your home. Our vet estimated Benjamin is …
Kaya is a 3-year-old kitty. She is mostly black with a little bit of white with short hair. This little lady was surrendered to the shelter in February because her family developed allergies to her. Kaya loves people and all the love and pets she can get. She may do best as the only pet in the home as she is not too fond of other cats and nervous around dogs. She will not require more care than a normal cat …

Sprout loves toys and gets beyond excited at the sound of a squeak or the sight of a new toy. Watching Sprout play is very entertaining and will have you laughing hysterically within seconds. She is all of 14 pounds and has tiny feet that you would think are made from springs. She jumps very high in the kennel because she gets so excited when people walk in the room. She likes to play with other dogs but …

If you are interested in adopting this pretty girl please call the adoption …

Sheba is a very sweet and happy gal. She is a six-year-old German Shepherd Dog with beautiful markings. Tennis balls are her absolute favorite toy to play with, followed closely by squeaky toys. Sheba knows several commands including sit, down, sit/stay, come, and paw. She is a little head shy and prefers not to have her head or paws touched too much. Shelba does like other dogs, but she would be best as the only pet in the home. A lot of dogs have been nervous around her because of the way she plays. Another dog with similar behaviors as Shelba would be the best companion. However, her …
We are three fabulous little piggies! Shadow, Annabelle, and Snowbelle are our names. We are all about 1-2 years old and best friends. We have lived together our whole lives and may even be sisters. We are very close and would love to be adopted together. If you want to hear us squeal, just open the fridge and take out some carrots and we will tell you all sorts of stories. Guinea Pigs are sociable animals and we will make great pets for kids. We need a lot of attention and will demand it! We have a nice cage with a “loft” that we are used to. We can probably go home with it but if you have…
