Two athletes from Xaverian Brothers High School have signed National Letters of Intent to play Division 1 athletics in college, according to a report on the school's website.
Tim Duggan signed a letter to play baseball at Fairfield University, while Ryan Scheib committed to playing lacrosse at Bryant University. Both will serve as captains of their respective teams at Xaverian for the Spring 2012 season.
Currently, Xaverian has more than 100 graduates participating in college athletics, according to the Hawks' website. Meanwhile, fall athletes will sign their letters of intent in January.
The move comes about a month after two senior lacrosse players from Westwood High School signed their own National Letters of Intent.
Laura McHoul signed a letter to play for the University of New Hampshire, while Kate Rich committed to play for Boston College.
