Westwood Police Log: Car Parked on Street

The following information was provided by the Westwood Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned there is no indication of a conviction.

 

Monday, October 22

Suspicious Activity (2:01 p.m.) - A resident of Conant Rd. called to report what they thought was some suspicious acitivity. They had seen a man knock on the door of a couple houses. An officer checked, and the man was a licensed solicitor.

Theft (3:26 p.m.) - A resident of Church St. called to report that her daughter's cell phone had been stolen from her locker at school.

Tuesday, October 23

Suspicious Activity (11:00 a.m.) - A resident of Palomino Ln. called to report that a station wagon drove in and out of her driveway multiple times over a short period of time.

Counterfeit Checks (11:08 a.m.) - Officers were called to a business on University Ave. after the business found out someone had used counterfeit checks with their information on them.

Car Parked on Street (11:00 p.m.) - A Strasser Ave. resident called to report that a car was parked in front of their house. Officers went to the address and noted that the vehicle was parked legally on a public street, and informed the called that the car was allowed to be there so there was nothing they could do.
