Westwood Police Log: Cabbie Argument

The following information was provided by the Westwood Police Department. When an arrest is mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Tuesday, November 6

Suspicious Vehicle (9:46 a.m.) - A School St. resident called to report suspicious activity by a motor vehicle. The caller stated that the vehicle pulled into a driveway and then pulled into another driveway.

Fraud (10:55 a.m.) - A Hillcrest Pl. resident reported receiving an attempted fraud call from someone claiming to be their grandson. The called asked them to send money to the Mexican Embassy.

Vehicle Stopped/Summons Issued (3:40 p.m.) - A vehicle was stopped on Hartford St. and a summons were issued for unlicensed operation and not wearing a seatbelt. The owner was also issued a summons for letting an unlicensed person drive the car.

Wednesday, November 7

Suspicious Activity (9:06 a.m.) - A Kingswood Rd. resident called to report that a Silver Toyota Camry had been parked on the street since yesterday.

Disturbance (9:20 a.m.) - Police received a call from University Ave. about a cab driver treating a fare unfairly. Officers were able to mediate the situation.
