Westwood Police Log: An Arrest, a Missing Person and a Damaged Car

Domestic Disturbance on Stonegate Lane
Dec. 10, 12:43 a.m. - Westwood Police responded to a Stonegate Lane home, where they received a report that a teenager had been screaming and banging on doors of the house.
After arriving to the area, police arrested the teen on a number of charges, including wanton destruction of property over $250, possession of marijuana greater than one ounce, disorderly conduct and assault and battery on a police officer.
Missing Person Incident Deemed 'Not Suspicious'
Dec. 10, 1:25 a.m. - Westwood Police received a report of a missing person from a Poplar Street resident.
Police would not provide details, but while they are in the process of attempting to determine the missing person's last known whereabouts, they said that there was nothing specifically suspicious about the incident.
Car Damaged at High School
Dec. 11, 4:37 p.m. - Police received a report that a car had been damaged and broken into in the parking lot at Westwood High School.
The front passenger side window of the vehicle, which was parked near the school busses in the lot, had been smashed in, and a Tom Tom GPS device and a purse belonging to the wife of the owner had been taken. Credit cards, cash and personal information were among the items inside the purse.
The matter is under investigation.
